LydRock

LydRock is an internationally beloved choreographer and creative entrepreneur based in Houston, Texas. Born in Tema, Ghana, raised in New York and Fort Worth, she is currently a leading force in the Afrobeats dance movement, and style in the United States.  She has performed and toured with some of Africa's biggest stars including Mr. Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Dbanj, Patoranking and Tekno. She has also graced the stages of Coachella, SXSW, A3C Festival, One Africa Music Fest, Afrimma Awards, and the Umoja Festival to name a few.

Her ‘Anyhow’ dance video has over 6.3 million views and an unending stream of reposts. Further, in 2018, LydRock was the associate choreographer for the sold-out stage production ‘What Had Happened Was...An Afro Urban Musical’. 

Showcasing black pride in a tasteful, cultural way and bridge the gaps amongst people of African descent through dance, style and vibes has always been LydRock’s creative mission. As a designer, stylist and creative director she is inspired by the simplicities of everyday activities, high fashion runway, hip hop music, movies and culture.

Currently, LydRock is leading her 'AfriRock' dance label, co-directing PlayLST, a performance platform for independent artists, is CEO of Nova co., a professional booking agency for dancers, and styling clients with @rockstylesnow, as a purveyor of custom made ready to wear and select vintage finds.
